At the end of June, we traveled to Maine for our real Vacation. As has become tradition, we brought my Grandmother and stayed in Ocean Park, at the Doe Cottage. Doe Cottage is one house off of the beach and we spent most of our time there. The weather was lovely and we spent part of one day (the only cloudy beach day!) creating a sand dragon. Not neglected were the outlet shops. We hit both Kittery (twice) and Freeport. While we were at Kittery, I found china I liked at the Royal Doulton store. It is called Ashley (platinum band) and I ended up getting eight settings as well as the teapot.
We came home on July 3, but not before the Ocean park Fourth of July parade. I have never seen anything like it! They had two kazoo bands, a beach chair drill team and a barbershop quartet, just to name a few things!
