At the beginning of June my family and I traveled to Knoxville,TN for our annual homeschooling conference. Along the way we stopped in Washington D.C., Lancaster P.A. and many museums(The Smithsonian, The Museum of Atomic Energy, a pretzel factory, Hershey Park, etc.) Prerequisites for museums are not hard in our family. All we require are free tours, samples and, of course a gift shop. In Hershey (free chocolate bars :~D) we were also lucky enough to be able to attend a Civil War reenactment. My favorite parts were the hat shops and sutler tents. They also had a tent full of recreation vintage fabrics! I got a corset pattern and hope to be able to put it together some time this fall.
