Summer Projects

This summer I was finally able to work on some projects that I had had in mind for some time. These included altering my aunt's old prom dress into a more "subdued" Civil War era ballgown and creating a Regency day dress. What I have finished is the first mockup for the day dress, I thought it expedient to make sure the pattern fit alright before cutting into the other fabric. I also played around making a few hats to match it and also two shawls. A lace one and a heavier, warmer one, out of a damask tablecloth and drape fringe. Since I have a tendancy to keep everything because it might be useful someday, it was nice to find a use for things I already had on hand.
